Our organization, No Borders Humanity Organization (NBH), has a rich history of programs and projects spanning various fields. Here’s a summary of your organized programs and projects from 2003 to 2023:

In 2003: Humanitarian Relief Programs

  1. Distributed food and medicine aid to 3,000 families living in government institutions in Dhi Qar Governorate.
  2. Distributed food aid to 1,500 families living below the poverty level in Al-Gharraf, Al-Islah, Al-Hamar, and Mr. Dakhil.
  3. Distributed food aid to 1,000 families in Sadr City and the headquarters of the former Iraqi army.
  4. Distributed 5,000 posters focused on combating terrorism, titled “Terrorists,” throughout the province.

In 2003: Enhancing Election Transparency

  • Organized municipal council elections in Dhi Qar and Basra Governorates in coordination with the CPA and the RTI organization.

In 2004: Spreading Democracy Practices

  • Implemented a project promoting democracy concepts with funding from the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI).

In 2005: Enhancing Election Transparency

  1. Conducted training for election trainees for the National Constituent Assembly.
  2. Held a conference on the importance of combating administrative and financial corruption and education for constitution writing.
  3. Organized a conference in solidarity with displaced families to Dhi Qar Governorate from hotspots.
  4. Conducted training for referendum monitors on the permanent constitution of Iraq.
  5. Conducted training for election monitors for the Iraqi parliament.

In 2005: Social Development

  1. Implemented a local planning project and citizen participation in local governments.
  2. Implemented the NGO Capacity Building project.

In 2007-2006: Conflict Resolution and Capacity Building

  • Implemented projects in the field of conflict resolution and capacity building for Iraqi NGOs.

 

In 2007-2008: Culture of Conflict Resolution and Peace Building

  • Implemented a project to promote a culture of conflict resolution and peace building.

In 2008-2009: Youth Empowerment

  • Implemented the youth empowerment project to spread the culture of conflict resolution and peace building.

In 2008-2009: Youth and Human Rights

  • Implemented the youth and human rights project, including a training program in human rights education.

In 2010-2011: Conflict Transformation and Human Rights

  • Implemented a project for conflict transformation techniques and teaching human rights to young people.

In 2011-2012: Various Activities

  • Conducted various activities, including humanitarian aid distribution, conferences, and dialogues.

In 2012: World Education Week

  • Participated in World Education Week with activities in collaboration with UNESCO.

In 2014-2015: Awareness Projects

  1. Produced a short feature film addressing administrative and financial corruption in Iraq.
  2. Distributed children’s stories to encourage education among families living below the poverty level.
  3. Held educational seminars for women to explain the Convention against Torture against Women (CEDAW).

In 2015-2016: NGO Workshops

  • Established workshops for NGO leaders in Dhi Qar Governorate to enhance cooperation in implementing joint activities.

In 2016-2017: Global Campaign and Cultural Events

  1. Implemented a global campaign to reject war, build peace, and promote a culture of community peace.
  2. Conducted various cultural events, including poetry evenings.

 

In 2018-2019: Citizenship and Women’s Day

  1. Implemented a training course on incubating citizenship for diversity and freedom of belief and religion.
  2. Collaborated with health centers for health visitor activities in rural schools.
  3. Participated in Culture Street activities and honored creators, artists, and literature pioneers.
  4. Distributed stationery to Culture Street children and supported children’s exhibitions.
  5. Participated in International Women’s Day celebrations by honoring pioneers in education and civil society.

In 2019-2020: COVID-19 Response

  • The organization participated in raising awareness about preventing COVID-19 and following World Health Organization and Iraqi Ministry of Health guidelines. It also provided assistance to families and individuals affected by COVID-19.

In the year 2022

The organization obtained special consultative status in the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations NBH   organization’s achievement of obtaining special consultative status in the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in 2022. This status is a significant recognition of our organization’s commitment to humanitarian and development efforts. It will provide us with valuable opportunities to engage with the United Nations, participate in its activities, and contribute to global initiatives for positive change. It’s a testament to our organization’s dedication to making a meaningful impact on critical issues.

In 2021-2022: Civic Education and Electoral Awareness

  • The organization implemented an awareness program focused on civic education and electoral awareness for the Iraqi Parliament elections on October 10, 2022. This initiative was carried out in partnership with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and other collaborators.

In 2022-2023: Anti-Corruption Program

  • The organization executed a training program and advocacy campaigns as part of the “Together to Fight Corruption” project. This endeavor was done in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

In 2022-2023: Youth Empowerment for Environmental Dialogue

  • The organization implemented a youth empowerment project centered around dialogue with local authorities regarding environmental and health concerns. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Bridge to Italy organization, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the European Union.

 These recent activities demonstrate our organization’s commitment to addressing contemporary challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting civic education and electoral awareness, fighting corruption, and empowering youth to engage with local authorities on environmental and health issues.
